Other Characters: Applying for Longtail Canon Character? No
Name: Yewberry Gender: She-cat Age: 76 moons Clan: ShadowClan Rank: Warrior
Short Appearance: A white she-cat with a cream striped tail and face. Appearance:
Despite being a full-blooded ShadowClan cat, Yewberry is a pretty white and cream she-cat. Her plush fur and wide eyes fool those who don't know the she-cat very well into thinking that she is gentle and delicate- an assumption that can cost one their dignity and- possibly- their life. No one could survive in ShadowClan under Brokenstar's reign by being a soft and weak she-cat; her lithe body is perfect for confusing her enemies with agile movements and her long claws for delivering fatal blows. However, she hasn't gotten through 76 moons in the world of feral cats without a few well-earned scars. For example, she has a notch in her right ear from a border fight in her 15th moon, and a good-sized scratch on the upper-left side of her muzzle. Her cream-striped tail is slightly longer than average, but it isn't extremely noticeable.
Likes: • The quiet marshes • The thrill of battles • Lizards (Favorite Prey) • ShadowClan Strengths: • She is easily under-estimated by cats she goes to battle against thanks to her soft looks • She's rather speedy/agile for a ShadowClanner, allowing her to utilize agility in battle Dislikes: • What Brokenstar seems to be doing with ShadowClan (But she obeys him anyway) • Robins (Least-Favorite Prey) • Disorder/Lack of orderliness. Weaknesses: • Those whom she has already fought don't usually under-estimate her a second time. • Being a part of ShadowClan, she isn't trusted by cats of other clans.
Personality: The other clans view Yewstar as a typical ShadowClanner: secretive and cunning. She doesn't waste her time making her appear wonderful to the other clans or allow them to waver her opinions; in other words, she doesn't give a crap what others think about her, and doesn't let others affect her decisions. If she does allow others to change her opinion, it might hurt her ability to serve her clan, and, no matter what clan you are from, your clan comes before the other clans. However, most cats from other clans don't see her intentions as good and see her as a cat who wants nothing more than to cause trouble for other clans, which is really a mouse-brained assumption; no one just wants to cause trouble for others. If the ShadowClan warrior makes herself appear rude to the other clans, it is only because she is doing what's right for her own.
Though the cats of ShadowClan get to see her compassionate side, Yewberry is rather strict with her inferiors. Her philosophy that she tells apprentices who complain about fighting and training is "You are a clan member first, and a cat second." What she means by this is that it is perfectly fine to enjoy yourself and so on so forth, but your duties must come first. She will not tolerate any cat slacking off, even though it isn't necessarily her job to keep the clan in line, and will occasionally give her inferiors (young warriors or apprentices) work if they don't have any (if they complain). Nevertheless, Yewberry still appears kind and loving to her clan. Even though most of her clan dislike her strictness, they know that she means well. Yewberry readily comforts any grieving cat, though her soothing phrases are more about the functioning of the clan than abstract feelings. She gladly serves her leader, trusting that all that he does will have a positive effect on the grandeur of ShadowClan.
One-Sentence Personality: Yewberry is the strict no-nonsense type who loyally serves her leader. Regardless, she is liked by most of her clan.
History:
A ShadowClan she-cat named Willowfur and her mate Icechip appraised the arrival of their only kit. Her father named her Yewkit sort of jokingly because she seemed as innocent as any other kit, but when her father reached out his paw to touch her, she gave him a nasty bite (for a cat with no teeth xD), since she didn't know that he wouldn't hurt her. In other words, they named her Yewkit because yew trees seem as innocent as any other tree, and their berries look appealing, but it harbors horrible consequences if you underestimate it. Regardless, her mother liked the sound of the name and agreed to it, not without a purr of amusement at Icechip's reason for naming her kit after a yew tree. She was an adventurous kit who rarely stayed in the nursery, and she even left the camp a few times in her earlier moons, getting disciplined each time.
As an apprentice, not much happened to Yewpaw. She obeyed her mentor more times than not, and rarely repeated her mistakes in conduct. The scar on her muzzle comes from her first border fight in which a ThunderClan apprentice landed a deep slash on her face. Yewpaw ended up winning the fight, landing two deep cuts on the opposing cat before he ran off after his mentor, whom had already retreated. Other than that, her apprenticeship was uneventful, even tedious at times, and Yewpaw was elated when she finally became Yewberry, and has since served ShadowClan loyally.
Best Friends: None yet Parents: Icechip (father) Willowfur (mother) Siblings: None Former Mentor: Marshstep Apprentice: None
Other: She's not particularly interested in having kits, though she doesn't readily oppose the idea. RolePlaying Sample:
((I don't currently have one of her, so I'll post one of another cat instead. If I need to change it, I will.))
"Willowtail, can we go hunting alone?" Snowpaw and Thornpaw asked the calico she-cat's mentor in unison. The two hadn't been apprentices long, but they were rather skilled and mature for their age, so they could be trusted when out alone. When the she-cat nodded and reminded them to be back before sunset, which wasn't too long from now, Snowpaw mewed her thanks as Thornpaw nodded his, and trotted out of the camp, the brown tom trailing behind her. This would be the first time that the two were out of camp without any warrior supervision.
Before long, each cat had caught a plump rabbit, which they proceeded to eat, since they had already hunted for the clan. After they were done eating, the siblings padded further away from camp in search of some more prey to bring back to camp. Instead of scenting prey, though, a rancid odor found its way into Snowpaw's nostrils. "Fox," whispered Thornpaw. The two didn't have to discuss what to do, they knew that they should run back to camp and tell the leader; foxes were trouble even for full grown cats, how could two apprentices hope to face one and live?
The apprentices were about to turn tail and run back to camp when a russet colored creature lunged at Snowpaw, hitting her right-eye full on. The young she-cat let out a piercing yowl, but the two were too far away from camp for any cat to hear the sound and identify it as distressed cats. Snowpaw blinked a few times. She still felt her eye behind her eyelid, but she also felt blood and couldn't clearly see out of her scratched eye. When he saw the fox take a piece out of his sister, Thornpaw became enraged and pounced on the bushy-tailed killer, who soon shook him off, but not without the brown tom leaving a few lasting marks.
The cats continued fighting until the fox decided that the squabble wasn't worth it. But instead of immediately leaving, it snapped at Thornpaw's jugular, caused it to bleed, and took him away. "Thornpaw!" Snowpaw yowled as he limped after his captor, but she had been worn out. It wasn't long before she tripped over a rock. Everything went black.

She looks great! But we do ask to have a roleplay example of the character themselves, so we can see that you are capable of displaying the personality you've written.
